Last updated: 15 June 2026 · [Draft — review by counsel before launch]

This is a good-faith draft written to be honest and specific. It must be reviewed by qualified legal counsel before launch and adapted to the jurisdictions Verdyn operates in.

1. Who we are

Verdyn Technologies [Ltd] ("Verdyn", "we", "us") provides AI crop-intelligence software. This policy explains how we handle personal data and the imagery you upload. Questions: favour@verdyn.site.

2. What we collect

  • Account & contact data: name, email, organisation, and details you submit through forms.
  • Field imagery & data: drone and field images you upload, along with field boundaries and related metadata (e.g. capture time, approximate location).
  • Usage data: basic, privacy-respecting analytics about how the site and app are used.

3. How we use it

  • To run plant-level detection and produce the maps, guidance, and reports you ask for.
  • To improve our models — using imagery to train and evaluate detection, where permitted and with appropriate safeguards.
  • To communicate with you about your account, pilots, and support.

4. Where imagery is stored

Imagery and related data are stored securely on Amazon Web Services (for example, Amazon S3 for imagery and Amazon RDS for reporting data), with access controls and encryption in transit and at rest. AWS is a data processor acting on our behalf. AWS is a trademark of its owner; Verdyn is not affiliated with or endorsed by it.

5. Retention

We keep imagery and account data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymise it within a reasonable period unless a longer period is required by law. You can request deletion at any time (see Section 7). [Confirm retention periods with counsel.]

6. Sharing

We do not sell your imagery or personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate (such as cloud hosting), under contract, and where required by law.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email favour@verdyn.site. [Map to GDPR / local law as applicable.]

8. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond promptly to issues.

9. Guidance disclaimer

Verdyn's outputs are decision support. They do not replace professional agronomic judgement, and we do not guarantee specific yield or financial outcomes.

10. Changes

We'll update this policy as the product and our obligations evolve, and note the date above.
