A yield problem hiding in plain sight.

Across the world, a large share of preventable crop loss traces back to one thing: disease, pests, and stress spotted too late. For the organisations that support farmers — cooperatives coordinating hundreds of members, estates running dozens of blocks, NGOs serving thousands of smallholder plots — the problem compounds: by the time a field officer reaches a farm, the damage has often spread.

For decades, plant-level monitoring was a luxury: it took an agronomist walking every row, and no extension team can walk them all. Two things changed that. Affordable drones and good phone cameras put high-resolution imagery in every field team's hands, and cheap GPU inference made it possible to analyse that imagery plant by plant, farm after farm.
